WebEatery vs. Slice
If you run a pizzeria and you've been on Slice a while, the first thing to know is that the pricing you signed up for probably isn't the pricing you're on. Slice moved off percentage commission to memberships with a flat monthly fee plus a per-order charge. If you're still budgeting against "Slice only takes 7%," that number is gone.
What Slice Costs
Slice, the pizzeria specialist, charges $399/month plus $2.00 per order on its Family membership, or $39/month plus $3.00 per order online-only, with no per-order fee under $10 and card processing at 2.90% + $0.30.
What WebEatery Costs
$165/month for the first location
Where the Two Plans Land
Against the Family membership, the comparison is short: $399 a month before a single order, against $165 with no per-order fee. We're cheaper from the first pizza, and the gap widens with every one after it.
The Online membership is the closer call. At $39 a month it starts well below us—but $3 an order adds up, and the crossover is about 42 orders a month, roughly an order and a half a day.
Below that, Slice is cheaper. Above it, every order costs you $3 that would cost you nothing here.
A shop doing 400 orders a month pays about $1,239 on the Online membership. The same shop pays $165 here.
What You Get for the Family Membership
It's worth being fair about what $399 buys, because it isn't only software. Slice bundles a point of sale with hardware, bilingual human phone agents taking orders, discounted pizza boxes, and an account manager.
That's a services business, and for a shop that genuinely needs phone coverage and buys a lot of boxes, some of that cost comes back. Price the pieces you'd actually use before you write it off—and price the ones you wouldn't.
Pizza-Templated, by Design
Slice's storefronts are built for pizza, which is an advantage on the ordering flow—half-and-half toppings and combo builders work properly, and generic platforms often fumble them.
The tradeoff is that every Slice shop looks like a Slice shop.
Customization across your storefront and apps. Your brand colors, your choice of theme and icon style, and options for how the app itself looks and behaves—not just a logo on a stock template.
Your storefront as mobile apps for iOS and Android, listed on the App Store and Google Play, branded with your restaurant's name, logo, and colors.
Where Slice is the Better Choice
For a small pizzeria, honestly: quite often. The $39 Online membership is cheaper than us below about 42 orders a month, the pizza-specific ordering flow is better than a general-purpose one, and the marketplace brings in customers who are searching for pizza rather than for you.
The phone-ordering service has no equivalent here at all. If your phone rings constantly during the dinner rush and you're losing orders to hold times, that alone may decide it.
